Join Us for Our 2026 Lenten Mission

February 28 – March 2

We invite you to begin your Lenten journey with three powerful evenings of reflection, prayer and renewal.

This year’s mission will be led by Deacon Patrick Simons, a familiar voice to many across Omaha and our rural communities, including the St. Benedict Retreat Center in Schuyler and Spirit Catholic Radio. Together, we will explore the life of St. Maximilian Kolbe — his deep devotion to Mary, his courageous martyrdom, and how we can grow in holiness through Our Blessed Mother.

🕊 Mission Schedule:

Saturday, Feb. 28
📍 Holy Ghost Church – 5:00 p.m.
Mass followed by Deacon Simons’ first talk:

“Mary’s Soldier: The Life of St. Maximilian Kolbe and His Deep Devotion to Mary”

Sunday, March 1
📍 Gross Catholic High School Auditorium – 3:30 p.m.
Viewing of
Triumph of the Heart
Followed by reflection and discussion led by Deacon Simons.
