Our first chicken dinner for the 2026 fall season is just two weeks away. Please take a look at the schedule and see if you can help at any point during this event.   Normal spots are listed and there's also a section for members of the Women's Club to sign up and work the dessert area.  These spots will start with a WC.

Explore Life, Faith, and Meaning with Alpha

Everyone has questions. Exploring is good—we're built for it. That’s why we invite you to take part in Alpha, a welcoming series designed to explore life, faith, and meaning in an open, judgment-free environment.

The next Alpha Course begins Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, at 6 p.m in the Holy Ghost Church Social Hall. (52nd & Q Street)

Sessions will be held on Monday evenings and will include:

Dinner and Beverages – Enjoy a free meal each week with your circle.

Engaging Videos – Each session tackles a question around the Christian faith.

Open Discussion – Share your thoughts and hear from others in a respectful, friendly space.

Alpha is for anyone who's curious—whether you're looking to strengthen your faith, are just beginning to ask questions, or want a space to connect with others.

Come hungry for food and conversation. You don't need to be a parishioner of our parish. All are welcome. Bring a friend, too!

We are pleased to welcome Father Andrew Marshall of Kirkcaldy, Scotland. He's the new Foundation Chaplain for the Adoratio Foundation. Father Marshall will join us as celebrant and homilist at all Masses the weekend of July 25-26.

Fr. Andrew is chaplain for “In His Presence,” a spiritual campaign that leads parishes through a four-month path to sustained Eucharistic Adoration.

During his visit, Fr. Andrew will share the beauty and power of spending time with Jesus in the Eucharist while offering a first look at Adoratio: In His Presence, an exciting spiritual initiative coming to our Parish Family in the first quarter of 2027.

In the months ahead, we'll reveal more about this journey and how every member of our Parish Family, and anyone seeking a deeper relationship with Christ, is invited to take part.

What if spending just one hour with Jesus each week could transform your relationship with Him—and your daily life?

This is more than a program, it's an invitation to encounter Jesus in a deeper, more personal way.

"Adoratio: In His Presence" begins in the first quarter of 2027.  We will share more details here on our parish family website and through our social media channels.

We hope every member of our Parish Family, and anyone seeking a deeper relationship with Christ, will join us on this incredible journey.

The Holy Ghost Consolation Ministry is a group of dedicated and compassionate individuals available to offer a prayerful presence and support to grieving parishioners during difficult times.

The ministry maintains contact with and prays for families for one year following the loss of a loved one through phone calls, letters, cards, and visits. If you enjoy visiting with others and wish to stay connected with our parish community, please consider volunteering with this ministry.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul Helpline Could Use Your Help! 

What would you do if you were about to be evicted from your home…or you’d received notice that your gas, water, or electric utility service was going to be shut off? What if you had no savings, couldn’t feed your family, and had no safety net to help you through these difficult times? What if the prospect of falling into homelessness seemed like your only choice? 

These scenarios describe individuals and families that the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha serves every day of the year, which is why we offer our SSVP Helpline. 

The Helpline is an easy-to-use, one-stop, online service for  Omaha-area neighbors in need. 

Here, they can inquire into, and request material or financial assistance from SSVP Omaha. 

The SSVP Helpline is staffed by volunteers who provide a caring and compassionate response to neighbors in need who may be experiencing the most difficult and turbulent time in their entire lives.

Join us for our Bake Sale on Saturday, Sept. 19 after the 5 p.m. Mass and Sunday, Sept. 20 after the 11 a.m. Mass.

After a season of restoration and renewal, the parish community of St. Bernadette Parish Archdiocese of Omaha joyfully welcomed parishioners, families, friends, and guests back for the Grand Reopening of St. Bernadette Church on Sunday morning.

This special weekend marks more than the reopening of a building, it is a celebration of faith, community, and a renewed sacred space where generations will continue to gather in worship, prayer, fellowship, and service.

With grateful hearts, we thank Archbishop Michael G. McGovern for celebrating our Grand Reopening Mass, dedicating the new altar, and leading the Rite of Entombing the Relic.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Carlson West Povondra Architects, Lueder Construction, our parish leadership, staff, volunteers, donors, and the many parishioners whose generosity, hard work, and prayers made this renovation project possible.

This beautiful renewal of St. Bernadette Church is a testament to the faith, dedication, and generosity of our parish family. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life.

We are also pleased to share that plans are underway to provide an encore presentation of this special celebration to our parish family.

Stay tuned for additional details on how and when you can watch the recorded Mass. We look forward to sharing this memorable celebration with all who were unable to attend in person.
